Lawn Crypts: The Green Alternative
Lawn crypts are “Green” because they use only half the space and have a much smaller carbon footprint than traditional grave spaces” with this: “Lawn crypts provide affordable burial for two in a pre-installed, double depth concrete crypt. Lawn crypts sections are “green” because they use less than half the space of traditional grave spaces, conserving open space. A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment and climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced through burning fossil fuels. Lawn crypts sections have a much smaller carbon footprint than traditional cemetery sections.
Lawn crypts are memorialized by lawn-level bronze markers on polished granite bases. Because of these features, and because a vault in not necessary, the cost of burial in lawn crypts is roughly half of a traditional two grave lot with monument.
